Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Czech Republic has launched the cloud-based multiscreen version of the Horizon advanced TV service ahead of a launch of the full Horizon service.
The launch of Horizon Go will enable UPC Czech subscribers to view content from up to 63 channels on multiple devices both inside and outside the home. The operator is making the service available free of charge to all digital TV subscribers until the end of this year, after which new customers will be charged CZK25 (€0.90) a month.
UPC said it would launch the full Horizon service “in the near future”. The launch of the Go variant makes the Czech Republic the fifth country in which a Horizon service is available.
The Horizon Go app can be downloaded from the Google Play store and Apple Store, and the service is also accessible on the web via the horizon.tv portal.
