Scripps Networks UK and EMEA has agreed a multi-territory distribution deal with Liberty Global for Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living.
The multi-year deal will see the renewal of existing Scripps Networks channels across Liberty Global’s territories, and will provide the option for Liberty Global to add Food Network and Fine Living in a number of the markets where they are not currently carried.
Scripps Networks has also granted rights to Liberty Global allowing its content to be delivered across multiple platforms to include cable, catch-up, SVOD and mobile.
“We have had a long- standing partnership with Liberty Global and it’s very exciting to see the expansion of our channels on one of the most recognised and respected platform providers throughout Europe,” said Jon Sichel, managing director, Scripps Networks UK & EMEA.
Liberty Global has distribution throughout Europe in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the UK. It also has DTH services in five Central and Eastern European countries.
