Download-to-own and streaming service Blinkbox has added a raft of titles from UK broadcaster Channel 4 to its line-up including hit comedy series The Inbetweeners and its feature film spin-off.
The Channel 4 content will be available to buy via Blinkbox after the two parties agreed an electronic sell-through deal.
Blinkbox said the deal covered hundreds of hours of content. Titles include Ricky Gervais comedy series Derek, drama series Utopia and feature doc Pantani: Accidental Death of a Cyclist.
New Channel 4 shows will feed through to Blinkbox under the terms of the deal between the broadcaster and the streaming service.
Blinkbox Movies managing director Adrian Letts said: “Channel 4 has a well-earned reputation for creating some of the best content in the world. It’s a further sign of our commitment to offer a truly brilliant entertainment experience, without the need for a subscription.”
Blinkbox is owned by UK retail giant Tesco.
