Flipps mobile to TV app raises US$2.4 million

Flipps, a US-based app for streaming entertainment from a mobile device to a TV, has raised US$2.4 million as it aims to build on its growth in Europe and the states.

The app is designed to make it easy to discover and project content onto any connected TV using a smartphone or tablet, and claims to be compatible with more than 5,000 models of TV.

The new funding comes from Earlybird Venture Capital and existing backers including Silicon Valley investor Tim Draper.

“With our investment, Flipps accelerates its incredible growth and will finalise more deals with forward thinking publishers eager to reach new audiences,” said Dan Lupu from Earlybird Venture Capital.
