Huawei and ALi develop DVB-T2 box for Belarus
Chinese manufacturer Huawei has teamed up with chipset manufacturer ALi to begin mass production of a DVB-T2 set-top box for Belarus’s transition to digital broadcasting.
Beltelecom is rolling out a pay DTT service based on DVB-T2, following Belarus’s launch of DTT broadcasting based on the DVB-T standard in 2009. Digital switchover is scheduled for next year.
ALi plans to showcase a range of DVB-T2 products, as well as its broadcast-to-broadband bridge-based headless gateway platform, at the forthcoming CSTB 2014 trade expo in Moscow.
