A+E Networks UK is launching History on Norway’s national digital terrestrial television network, RiksTV.
The pay DTT deal comes into effect today, with RiksTV’s 500,000 subscribers now able to tune into the channel as part of their basic package and watch shows including Pawn Stars, Storage Wars and Duck Dynasty.
“The launch of History on RiksTV marks another important step towards our full distribution in Norway. We are confident that Norwegian viewers will enjoy the great range of exciting programming that History has to offer,” said A+E Networks UK’s VP of commercial operations, Bakori Davis.
The deal follows A+E Networks UK’s September appointment of Christian Høyer, who is responsible for leading affiliate distribution efforts in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
