Dogan TV Holding-owned Turkish pay TV provider D-Smart has signed a multi-year first run rights deal with Sony Pictures Television, giving it exclusive access to all new movies and series distributed by Sony Pictures Television as well as library products.
The output deal covers movies, series and entertainment programming, across multiple platforms and devices such as computers, mobile phones and tablets.
D-Smart will have the exclusive rights to brand new Sony Pictures films including Django Unchained, Elysium, Grown Ups 2 and Smurfs 2. In addition to new releases, the deal will also give D-Smart access to library content including Men in Black, Men in Black II, Hancock and The Mask of Zorro, as well as Academy Award winning titles Gandhi and Kramer vs. Kramer.
D-Smart customers will have access to Sony Pictures Television’s new TV series such as The Blacklist, Bad Teacher, The Michael J. Fox Show and The Night Shift.
D-Smart will also offer Sony products via its subscription on-demand service D-Smart Blu, including to mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.
