ER-Telecom acquisition of Akado off the cards

Russian service provider ER-Telecom is now unlikely to acquire Moscow operator Akado, according to local reports. 

According to Vedomosti, the sale has been called off following the breakdown of talks between the pair’s owners. Some reports have suggested that concerns on the part of the Moscow city authorities about a change in ownership led to the breakdown, but other sources have denied this.

ER-Telecom had earlier received the Russian competition watchdog’s go-ahead for the acquisition.
