Music and sports channel provider Trace Group has signed a carriage deal with Russian pay-TV operator Beeline TV.
The deal is Trace Group’s third in the Russian market, with the firm already working with DOM.ru and Tricolor. Trace said it also marks its continuing expansion in some of Europe’s fastest growing markets.
Through the deal, the Trace Sports HD sports entertainment channel, and the Trace Urban HD hip hop and R&B music channel, will be available to Beeline TV customers as part of its Music and Sport packages, occupying channels 921 and 922 respectively.
Laurent Dumeau, CEO, Trace Sports, said the Beeline deal will “reinforce Trace’s already strong position in Russia.” He added: “Our unique approach to sports entertainment programming will allow Beeline TV subscribers to get closer to their favourite sport celebrities. We will also be producing dedicated programmes featuring the athletes who are set to star at the 2014 Winter Olympics.”
