Liberty Global-backed Belgian cable operator Telenet has named Micha Berger as its new chief technology officer.
Berger, who will head the activities of the company’s engineering department and service assurance group fro July 1, will become a member of Telenet’s senior leadership team, reporting to CEO John Porter.
Berger was previously vie-president at Liberty Global’s engineering department, responsible for the Horizon digital TV development and product rollout.
“With the arrival of Micha Berger as our new CTO and the previously communicated appointment of Veenod Kurup as our new CIO, we have brought in more than 25 years of cable expertise at Telenet. I look forward to work both with Micha and Veenod to ensure the Telenet successes,” said Porter.
