TV app specialist Accedo has struck a partnership with US-based post-production and digital distribution technology specialist Deluxe Digital Distribution to combine its TV Everywhere system with Deluxe OnDemand to reate a could-based platform for the provision of ‘digital storefronts’ and applications across multiple devices.
Accedo is providing a series of TV Everywhere ‘reference apps’ for multiple devices such as smart TVs, games consoles and tablets, while Deluxe supplieds a catalogue of Ultraviolet-enabled pre-encoded and encrypted video titles.
Speaking at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Dave Cornella, vice-president, strategic business development at Deluxe, said that the pair had been working on their joint platform for some time and had already deployed it with a major US-based video retailer, with an Ultraviolet-enabled service that was also available internationally.
