Sports broadcaster ESPN has launched a new football brand called ESPNFC.
ESPNFC replaces ESPNsoccernet as ESPN’s global football brand online and on mobile devices. On mobile, the ESPNFC app offers news and results as well as audio and video content. The app, available on Apple, Windows and Android devices, can be personalised by favourite teams, leagues and tournaments.
The online ESPNFC platform had a soft launch during the Euro 2012 tournament in June and has now launched as a full service ahead of the start of the English Premier League this weekend. The site includes a Live MatchHQ service that includes real time scores, stats, highlights and a message board.
Outside of the UK, ESPNFC will be integrated into ESPNdeportes.com, which serves Spanish-speaking communities in the US.
