Turner Broadcasting UK has begun offering shows from its Adult Swim animation channel on Facebook via the Social Cinema service launched by Facebook commerce agency Milyoni earlier this year.
Shows inlcuding Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hungerforce, Metalocalypse, Superjail! and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! can be accessed via Milyoni’s Social Cinema technology, which enables viewers to rent programmes directly from the Adult Swim fan page on Facebook by clicking the ‘like’ button.
The first episode from each show is accessible for free, and there will be nine additional episodes from each series offered on the app, available to rent for 48 hours at a cost of 10 Facebook credits, or £0.63 (€0.73) each.
Separately, Turner’s Italian Cartoonito pre-school service joint venture with Mediaset was the most-watched channel by pre-schoolers on its first day of Auditel Nielsen Media Research publication. Cartoonito recorded an audience of 32,000 among its target group on October 2.
