2019 was a massively eventful year in video distribution, with the launch of multiple direct-to-consumer services by media and technology giants as well as a wave of consolidation among distribution platforms. However, the ultimate shape of the new digital video landscape is still far from clear.
Driving these developments, the pace of change in the way video is consumed is accelerating, with growth in non-linear viewing having a huge impact on the business model of established commercial media companies, while the technologies underpinning these changes also continues to evolve.
In our fifth annual industry survey, we would like to find out what the industry’s leading minds think about seven key industry topics: the overall digital TV landscape, the impact of IP video migration, the development of advanced advertising and streaming models, growing importance of video quality of experience for service providers choices, the business case for thematic streaming services, the significance of the home network and WiFi as a key area of focus for service providers, and the choices facing operators in relation to their investment in customer premises equipment and TV operating systems.
The deadline for completing the survey is 19th January 2020.
