Teleste posts solid first-half results

TelesteVideo technology provider Teleste has posted solid sales and profit growth for the first half of 2016.

The Finnish company posted revenues of €67.5 million, up 13% on last year, and operating profit of €3.9 million, up 54.4%.

While video and broadband product sales remained “at a good level”, according to CEO Jukka Rinnevaara, the company’s performances was boosted by video security and information systems sales, and particularly by network access products.

Rinnevaara said that sales were driven by the Netherlands, the UK and Belgium.

He said that while investment by cable operators “remained positive”, a number had pushed back deliveries of access products to 2017 as Q2 progressed.
