New technical and innovation chiefs for TV4

Jan Rizvi and Per Åström

Swedish free and pay TV broadcaster TV4 Group has named Jan Rizvi as technology development director while Per Åström has been given an expanded role as head of innovation.

Rizvi will be in charge of TV4’soverall technology development, spanning everything from internal systems to commercial digital products. He will report to TV4 Group vice-president Cecilia Beck-Friis. Rizvi has worked in various roles within the TV4 Group since 2001, mainly with tv4.se and interactive services, but also as head of technical development projects throughout the company.

Åström will head innovation efforts across the group, including creating effective workflow. Åström, who will report to Rizvi, has worked at TV4 Group since 2009, first as head of the new platforms, then as chief technology officer at TV4 Digital media, and finally as head of mobile and web.
