Movistar Plus+ to air Conmebol South American World Cup qualifiers

Telefónica-owned streamer Movistar Plus+ is to air Conmebol South American qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup live from this week.

The addition of the Conmebol qualifiers adds to the streamer’s existing sports offering in the run up to the Worold Cup, which will take place across Canada, the US and Mexico.

Movistar Plus+ is making the top match each match day available to subscribers of its own and other operators’ services via its recently launched streaming offering priced at €14 a month, which will also deliver other sports events. And original series, movies and entertainment.

Other matches will be available on the Liga de Campeones por M+ channel.

The 10 national teams of Conmebol member associations will face each other in a single qualifying group across two rounds played home and away.

Since August 1, Movistar Plus+ customers have been able to access a range of sports and entertainment content from a new all-in package for €14 a month, replacing the previous Movistar Plus+ Esencial package, with the price reduced to €11 for miMovistar customers.
