The Arena Group teams up with acTVe to launch raft of FAST channels

FAST channels provider acTVe has teamed up with publishing outfit The Arena Group to develop and launch five new digital action and adventure sports channels, marking the technology platform and media company’s entrance into the FAST space.

Each channel is based around one of The Arena Group’s brands – Powder Mag, Surfer Magazine, Transworld Skateboarding, Bike Mag and Snowboarder – and provides content from each of the action sports and lifestyle verticals.

Set to debut in the autumn of this year, the channels will launch globally and be available on free-to-watch streaming platforms like SportsTribal, FreeMovies+ and FreeCast, as well as connected TV apps on Roku, Vizio, Samsung and others, with additional platforms coming on throughout 202, according to acTVe.

The channels will showcase content sourced from the libraries of the brands.

acTVe will handle distribution and syndication across various free-to-watch platforms globally.

“As an action sports filmmaker, enthusiast and lifelong fan of these brands, it’s an honour to be in a position to make the kinds of content I grew up watching available to audiences for free, worldwide,” acTVe CEO Geoff Clark said.

Ross Levinsohn, chairman and CEO of The Arena Group said, “We continue to expand and diversify our company, and FAST channels will propel our strategic expansion into the highly lucrative and rapidly growing digital video and connected TV markets. We are excited to work with acTVe to expand these enthusiast titles and serve their communities across the video streaming markets globally.”
