France’s TF1 secures UEFA Women’s Euro 2025

Canal+ drops TF1 channelsFrance’s TF1 has secured rights to UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 football, to be hosted by Switzerland in July next year.

The rights agreement covers exclusive linear and streaming rights for all 31 matches in the competition.

France’s women’s team lost their semi-final match in the 2022 competition, a match that attracted over six million viewers to TF1, which also covered that competition. The broadcaster said this was the best performance3 for a UEFA Women’s Euro match across all channels.

TF1 said its deal showed its commitment to offer free-to-air coverage of big European and international football competitions.

“We are delighted to offer wide coverage to women’s competitions and enable them to be followed by the greatest number of spectators. The acquisition of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, a major sporting event in 2025, once again shows the ambition of TF1 Group to offer the biggest events free to the French public,” said François Pellissier, deputy CEO for business and sport at TF1.
