TNT Sports picks up broadcasting rights to Premiership Rugby Cup

Warner Bros. Discovery and BT joint-venture, TNT Sports has secured the UK broadcasting rights to the Premiership Rugby Cup.

TNT Sports which went live in July, replacing BT Sport, will make its rugby debut with coverage of the Premiership Rugby Cup.

The first five rounds of the tournament will air live each weekend  on the sports broadcaster, commencing on Sunday September 10.

The first game kicks off with 2021/22 Championship winners Ealing Trailfinders going up against Premiership Rugby semi-finalists Northampton Saints.

The winners from each pool will progress to the semi-finals with the two highest ranked sides earning home semi-finals.
In a change, the semi-finals will now be held on the weekend of February 16-18 and the final on the weekend of March 15-17.

Premiership Rugby’s star, Chris Ashton will join the TNT Sports punditry team alongside Red Roses centre Emily Scarratt.
