Canela Media names Eric Tourtel president of Latin America

US hispanic tech outfit and OTT Provider Canela Media has appointed Eric Tourtel as president of Latin America.

In his new role, Tourtel will oversee advertising sales strategy, commercial operations and B2B Marketing for the company in the region.

The chief who has a career spanning 25 years of industry, joins from Teads Latin America where he spent a decade at the company.  He was hired by Teads in 2013 as general manager , then later promoted to senior vice president and most recently served as CEO.

Tourtel was responsible for expanding Teads’ presence across six key markets in Latin America, as well as in Miami.

At Canela Media Latin America, he will help drive innovation at the group and continue to create and redefine solutions in the advertising space.

Prior to Tourtel’s appointment, the media outfit recently hired former WWE exec Peter Gonzalez as its new chief technology officer.
