Telia hires Eric Hageman as CFO

Nordic telco operator Telia has appointed Eric Hageman as executive vice president and chief financial officer, taking over Per Christian Mørland who will be stepping down at the end of September.

Mørland announced his resignation in March which he will be departing the company due to family reasons. Hageman will join Telia’s executive mnagement team early September, with Tim Pennington who served as interim CFO Tim to revert to an advisory position in the company.

The chief who has over 20 years of international experience has previously held senior executive positions at Royal KPN NV, including CFO and CEO of KPN Belgium. He also served as CFO at TelecityGroup, IWG and William Hill.

The Swedish company has launched its new combined streaming service TV4 Play today replacing its C More brand as it aims to revive its struggling media arm.

TV4 Play will continue to offer independent journalism, entertainment and drama but will have a larger catalogue of films and series.
