DAZN secures exclusive rights for DTM in Spain

Leading sport streaming service DAZN has picked up the exclusive broadcasting rights for the Dutch car touring competition DTM in Spain, as well as the GT Masters and the GT4.

The three competitions are also added to the DAZN catalog on a non-exclusive basis in Belgium, France, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary, Israel and South Korea.

The sports car racing series DTM is sanctioned by ADAC and is based in Germany, with circuits also held elsewhere in Europe. While GT Masters consists of 12 races where two starters each share a car, with at least one pilot per car having to show silver or bronze driver status. A compulsory pit stop during the 60-minute sprint race with driver change is mandatory between the 25th and 35th minute of the race. The GT Masters is also broadcasted live on free-TV on SPORT1.

Per the deal, DAZN has acquired the Spanish broadcasting rights for DTM through to 2024. The first race of the Norisring circuit took place over the weekend on Saturday July 8 .

In a release DAZN said “this acquisition is a sign of DAZN’s commitment to offer the best catalogue of motoring content , with the great competitions and the stories of its protagonists.”

DTM, GT Masters and GT4 joins DAZN wide portfolio of motorsports including Formula 1 and MotoGP World Championships, as well as Moto2, Moto3 and WorldSBK.
