Parrot Analytics: Ted Lasso heads top 10 in Russia

Apple TV+ Ted Lasso continues its reign topping Parrot Analytics’ originals in-demand chart in Russia following Belgium.

The week commencing June 4 -10, the third season of the football comedy drama scored 24.69 times the average TV show rating in Russia. It beats Russian series Live Life (Жить Жизнь) from the local streaming service Start which attracted 19.09 times the average TV show rating.

Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms.

Parrot’s dataset compares the demand that exists for each series in this market, against the average TV show. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.

Despite not being available legally in the country, Netflix still made the most appearances on the chart in Russia. The fantasy series The Witcher landed third on the grid after garnering a rating of 18.62, with Stranger Things closely behind with 18.61.

Russian content was still well favoured by audiences in the region according to Parrot Analytics data with Start making another appearance on the grif in fifth with Вампиры Средней Полосы (Middle Lane Vampires), joined by more.tv’s Trudnye Podrostki (Трудные Подростки) and Kion’s Kompleks Boga (Комплекс Бога) nearing towards the bottom of the grid.

Amazon Prime Video with Good Omens and Disney+ with The Mandalorian also made appearances on grid despite not being available in Russia.
