Brazil’s Neo teams up with Vubiquity to offer SVOD to operators

Brazilian aggregator for small and medium-sized operator Neo has teamed up with technology provider and content aggregator Vubiquity to launch a new SVOD offering for its members.

neo+The new service, Neo+, will include movies from Hollywood studios. Neo’s member organisations can add the service to their existing Neo offerings.

Neo said the new service would provide beneficial terms for access to the content to its members throughout Brazil.

Originally set up as the NeoTV Associaton in 1999 by independent and regional operators to obtain better commercial conditions for the development of subscription channels, the group expanded its remit over the years to include a broad range of pay TV operators and ISPs. It rebranded as the Associação Neo in 2019. The outfit counts over 200 associate companies covering over 5,000 municipalities that reach the vast majority of Brazilian households.

Neo’s existing content partners include HBO (Warner Bros. Discovery), A+E and Paramount. Sports is available from ESPN and Fox Sports 2.

The outfit also offers a wide range of international news channels, kids channels, domestic TV services,  religious channels and agribusiness channels.

Neo reportedly showcased the new offering at this week’s Brasil Streaming event organized by Tela Viva and Teletime.
