Greece’s Nova adds ERTFLIX and YouTube to EON offering

United Group-owned Greek pay TV business Nova has added a range of new content applications and gaming services to its advanced TV platform EON.

According to Nova, subscribers will be able to access the new portfolio of services easily and quickly via the EON Smart Box. Highlights include the addition of public broadcaster ERT’s on-demand platform ERTFLIX. This will give Nova customers access to a wide range of content including local and international series and movies, kids shows, documentaries, music concerts and other content form the ERT archive.

Another key addition to the Nova/EON offering will be social media platforms YouTube and YouTube Kids. Users will also be able to access arcade game Orbia as well as a range of content via the Play Store marketplace.

The addition of ERTFLIX and YouTube builds on a strong recent performance by Nova. Earlier this year, the platform passed the milestone of 400,000 subscribers – which it said was largely attributable to the impact of EON. EON offers a programme guide, content recommendation engine, remote control, profile creation, voice support and a searchable on-demand catalogue, along with seven-day catch-up TV. Existing features of the platform include eight kids channels and EON Sports.
