4iG completes fusion of Albanian service providers

Hungarian technology and service provider outfit 4iG Group has completed the fusion of the two Albanian subsidiaries it acquired last year.

ONE Albania SHA, the new integrated company, was registered at the start of the year, following 4iG’s acquisition of ALBtelecom and ONE Communications.

4iG said that the move combined ALBtelecom, the leading landline voice, internet and TV provider and ONE Telecommunications, the second largest and fastest-growing mobile operator merger.

The combined company inherits largest fixed network from the incumbent operator and a high-quality mobile network.

4iG Group had appointed the joint management of the company at the end of July 2022 and launched the first combined product on September 1.

4iG said ONE Albania will offer a wide range of services in the telco market and is intended to be the market leader in ICT services in Albania.

Emil Georgakiev was previously named as CEO of ONE Albania.

“The legal merge is an important milestone on the road leading to an integrated ICT company that offers everything from landline to mobile services. The only thing our clients can feel from this process is higher customer experience,” said Georgakiev.

“We are very enthusiastic to announce the legal merge and integration of two very important historic telecommunication companies of Albania in such a short time for the industry standards. This speed of integration allows us to focus on providing a higher level of service to our customers,” said Robert Budafoki, SVP of 4iG International.

“The goal of ONE Albania is to become Albania’s leading innovative ICT company and a key player in the digitalization of the Albanian economy.”
