As Vincent departs, Telenet restructures leadership team for growth

Telenet foregrounds fixed-mobile convergencePatrick Vincent, Telenet’s EVP customer interactions and BASE, will leave the company on 31 December 2022. His responsibilities will be taken over by Benedikte Paulissen and Dieter Nieuwdorp. At the same time, Telenet CTO Micha Berger will focus on the expansion of the network to 10 Gbps from April 1, 2023. Luk Bruynseels, VP network and infrastructure within the technology department, will join Telenet’s senior leadership team as chief product & technology officer, from 1 April 2023.

John Porter, CEO of Telenet, commented: “I cannot stress enough how important Patrick has been to Telenet over the past 18 years. From building and driving a professional and highly motivated sales and care organisation and a successful retail network, to leading major transformations and historic deals such as the integration of BASE and SFR, the launch of iDTV in the Interkabel footprint and the introduction of Agile at Telenet – to name a few – Patrick has done it all.”

Telenet’s personnel shake up has been designed to reflect its strategic focus for the coming years. Currently, the company has four growth pillars: connectivity for residential customers; connectivity and ICT solutions for business customers; entertainment and media; and new business, “with an absolute emphasis on the best user experience for customers at its core”. Berger will, at Porter’s request, manage a team of 180 people who will work on “the constant improvement of the existing HFC network and the preparation of the roll-out of the network of the future”.
