Thema and Polsat Plus Group seal deal on Museum TV 4K

Canal+-backed channel distributor Thema has secured carriage for Museum TV 4K on Polsat Box, Polsat Box Go and Netia in Poland, effective December 1.

Thema says Museum TV is the first TV channel entirely dedicated to the visual arts, satisfying both amateurs and enthusiasts. It appeals to a large audience through a fun and accessible tone, proposing entertainment, stories and educational information for everyone who has ever been to an exhibition and liked it. Programmes are filmed in 4K format which allows it to show the artistic works in its truest form.

The various platforms covered by the deal all belong to Poland’s biggest PayTV operator Polsat Plus Group. Camille Mury-Decouflet, Thema Distribution manager in Europe (pictured), said this is Museum TV’s second carriage deal in Poland: “We are delighted to be able to extend the distribution of Museum TV 4K to a wider Polish audience thanks to this new collaboration with Polsat Plus Group. Now, Polsat Box, Polsat Box Go and Netia subscribers will be able to enjoy, in Polish language, highly entertaining and educative content on arts and travel to the museums of the world in 4K quality.”

Launched in 2017, Museum TV is dedicated to the visual arts, including photography, design and architecture. It is currently distributed across 55 countries. The channel claims to have “one of the richest 4K content catalogues in the world.
