TalkTV gets new channel slot on Virgin Media

Murdoch-owned TalkTV has announced a new distribution deal in the UK with Virgin Media.

The deal will see the network move from channel 627 to a more prominent slot of channel 606. The Piers Morgan broadcaster will now sit between BBC Parliament and Bloomberg in Virgin’s offering and appear on the first page of the news section.

Richard Wallace, head of TV at News UK, said: “This is an important step forward for Talk TV. We’ve had a very positive first six months with agenda-setting exclusive interviews with Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Zelensky. Events like our Tory leadership debate and coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth proved our news credentials. To have a new and more prominent home on Virgin Media, as we unveil our great squad of talent for our autumn schedule, shows our continued ambition.”

The broadcaster has also recently announced the acquisition of BBC veteran Vanessa Feltz as the presenter of its drive time slot which will broadcast daily on weekdays.
