Parrot Analytics: Bridgerton back with a bang

Bridgerton

The return of Netflix’s period drama Bridgerton has topped Parrot Analytics’ originals in-demand chart for the week ending April 2 in the Netherlands.

Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms. The analyst illustrates demand expressions based on how much more popular a charted title is than an average TV show.

Bridgerton was by far the most-popular title, with 34.05 times the demand of an average show. The title was one of four Netflix titles in the chart, with The Last Kingdom, Stranger Things and The Witcher in seventh through ninth respectively.

The only streamer to come close to matching Netflix was Disney+, which charted three titles. Star Wars spin-offs The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett are in fourth and sixth. The Mouse House may be disappointed to see its latest big-budget Marvel series Moon Knight debut in fifth place after one episode.

HBO Max, Paramount+ and Hulu all have one title with Our Flag Means Death (second), Star Trek: Picard (third), and The Handmaid’s Tale (tenth).
