ducktv expands in Africa and Middle East with Digital Virgo

Kids TV service ducktv owner Mega Max Media has signed a partnership agreement with mobile payments specialist Digital Virgo for distribution of the linear channel on the latter’s TV networks in Africa and the Middle East.

The channel has been launched through French service provider and technology company Molotov’s OTT service deployed by Digital Virgo in Senegal, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire and on Streaming illimite in Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, UAE, Kuwait and Iraq.

The latest deal follows the launch of ducktv earlier this year on Molotov’s streaming platform in France. The company has gained several other distribution partners in recent months including One Hub globally, Rakuten TV in Europe, Ziggo in the Netherlands, MasMedia in Spain, Rlaxx in the UK and German-speaking Europe Samsung TV Plus Mobile in Spain and Italy and Amazon Fire TV globally.

ducktv is aimed at pre-school children from six months to four-years-old with a mix of content created in-house.
