Plume expands in Germany with two new deals

Wireless technologies specialist Plume has struck two new partnerships that grow its presence in the German-speaking region. 

Deutsch Glasfaser, a fibre-optic service provider focusing on rural Germany, will launch a new bundle of digital subscriber offerings to its residential broadband customers.

Plume has also entered into a cooperation with Breko, the commercial platform of the leading broadband association in Germany. to make its platform and services available to the latter’s 200-plus service providers.

Deutsche Glasfaser is using Plume’s cloud- and AI-driven SaaS experience management platform which leverages the OpenSync open source framework and features the HomePass front-end smart home services suite and Haystack back-end support tools and data analytics.

The platform will enable Deutsche Glasfaser to expand its product portfolio with personalised service offerings , according to the pair. Use of HomePass will enable Deutsche Glasfaser to bring improved WiFi connectivity, AI-driven cybersecurity and IoT device protection, parental supervision, secure access controls, motion awareness, and other benefits to consumers, according to Plume. Plume’s Haystack also delivers real-time and predictive customer support tools.

The partnership with Breko meanwhile will enable the latter’s members to launch Plume’s SaaS experience management platform with special pre-agreed terms.
