Vbox launches ATSC 3.0 Android TV Gateway

Israel-based VBox Communications has announced the launch of its ATSC 3.0 Android TV Gateway.

The new launch introduces ATSC 3.0 receiving and streaming capability to VBox’s TV Gateway product line. The range, running Android TV, presents users with access to online streaming services and 4K live TV channels.

The company claims that the ATSC 3.0 Android TV Gateway is a “first of its kind device” and enables features such as ATSC 3.0 reception via ROUTE and DASH protocols, HDMI connection for ATSC 3.0 and ATSC 1.0 viewing.

Vbox added that the ATSC 3.0 standard presents operators with a unique approach to address networking features, with the new tech seeing increasing deployments throughout the US.
