M7 Deutschland signs up new distribution partners

M7 Deutschland, the arm of the Canal+-owned M7 Group that supplies entertainment services for cable and IP networks in the German-speaking area, has expanded its business with a number of new contract wins.

M7 said it had won six new network operators as contract partners in the first half of the year, enabling operators to provide their customers with German-language and international television programmes.

The new partners are Stadtwerke Neustrelitz, Stadtwerke Unna, Emden Digital, Rapidata and Cable 4 from Germany and SenseLan from Switzerland.

M7’s licence portfolio for the distribution of television channels in cable networks and on IPTV platforms is targeted at network operators, municipal utilities and city carriers looking to offer free and pay TV packages. M7 said is in advanced negotiations for cooperation with numerous other network operators.

M7 Deutschland recently concluded a new distribution agreement with ProSiebenSat.1, spanning all the ProSiebenSat.1 channels currently on offer as well as the four new services: Sat.1 Gold HD, Kabel Eins Doku HD, Sat.1 Emotions and Kabel Eins Classics. M7 has also added travel and lifestyle broadcaster Travelxp 4k to its offering of Ultra HD channels.
