Digital TV Europe to present webinar on IP video migration

Digital TV Europe has partnered with Synamedia to present a webinar on the topic of IP video migration

IP is fast becoming the standard way to deliver video services thanks to the launch of multiple streaming offerings, continued growth in on-demand viewing at the expense of linear, and the ongoing entry into the multi-play broadband market of fixed and mobile telecom providers.

The Digital TV Europe 2020 Annual Industry Survey highlights the speed with which the world of video is migrating to IP as well as how the industry is overcoming challenges associated with the transition.

Over half of survey respondents believe that all video services will be delivered over IP within as little as 10 years, with this shift being primarily driven by changes in viewing habits with more non-linear viewing and viewing on IP-connected devices.

But how to deliver video over IP with a superior user experience is challenging – particularly in the case of mass-audience live events.

Join us for an in-depth analysis and discussion about IP video migration featuring results of the Digital TV Europe Annual Industry Survey and insight from Synamedia. Topics include:

  • What is driving the transition to IP video?
  • How quickly are video services migrating to IP?
  • What are the challenges for content providers and video service providers migrating to IP video?
  • Can OTT technology deliver the same high-quality experience as traditional video transmission – particularly for live sports and other mass-audience events?
  • What role can technology providers such as Google play in delivering high-quality IP video experiences?
  • What role can AI play in enabling superior IP video experiences?
