Ocilion updates wholesale offering with hybrid boxes, app and new UI

IPTV wholesale provider Ocilion has updated its services with a new companion TV app, new 4K set-top boxes for cable networks and a hybrid IP/DVB-C wholesale offering.

The Austria-based provider said it had expanded the range of devices over which its service is available via a companion screen app and new set-tops. Service provider customers can also use the app as a standalone solution to offer a streaming service to consumers.

Ocilion has added two new hybrid 4K set-tops to its portfolio, enabling operators to deploy hybrid services over IP and cable, delivering live TV via DVB-C and interactive services via IP.

Ocilion has also revamped its uers interface, highlighting premium programming within the EPG and providing improved search functionality.

The company is providing a branding package to operators who request it, comprising set-top, remote control, user interface and apps branded according to the needs of the operator.

Hans Kühberger, managing director of Ocilion IPTV Technologies said: “With this major update, our VLD customers receive a huge package of new features and options for expanding their TV product in one fell swoop. This enables them to make their offer even more individual and offer their customers an all-round experience, from packaging to their own apps, all in their own design. As the next step, we will offer our network operators a solution for supplying services to the housing industry.”
