Polish pay TV operator Canal+ Polska has named Małgorzata Seck as its new vice-president of programming.
Seck will take over responsibilities currently held by Canal+ Polska chief executive Edyta Sadowska, who combined that role with that of vice-president of programming.
Seck was previously director of television and content at Orange Polska, where she was responsible for strategy covering both linear TV and video-on-demand. Prior to that she worked for Netia as director of video product development.
Seck had reportedly been hired to head up television services at T-Mobile Polska before changing direction to work for Canal+. She had previously worked for Canal+ Cyfrowy before the merger of the ‘n’ and Cyfra+ platforms to create a single pay TV offering, with responsibil8ity for channels MiniMini+, MiniMax/ZigZap, Hyber, Kucnia+ and Domo+.
“Building a programming offer that is attractive to viewers is the strategic goal of Canal+ in Poland, which is why the position of vice president of programming is one of the key positions in our organisation,” said Sadowska.
“I am convinced that Małgorzata Seck together with the entire Canal+ programming team will continue to build the best premium content offer in the Polish market.”
