You.i TV appoints veteran CFO

Video app platform developer You.i TV has appointed Ken Taylor to the role of CFO.

Taylor will be responsible for creating and executing financial roadmaps in an effort to further establish the brand’s reputation globally.

The exec is a well known CFO, having held the position at March Networks, Proshred, BTI Systems, Yellow Pages, Optiva and the Ottawa Senators. Taylor also is known for serving as a longstanding chair of Audit and Governance Committees at Sandvine.

“You.i TV has established itself as a company at the top of the cross-platform tools development food chain with great opportunity for further growth,” said Taylor. “I’m looking forward to delivering on the company’s mission of reaching more customers around the world with strategic financial investment that facilitates strong, calculated international expansion.”

Jason Flick, co-founder and CEO of the company said: “Companies that succeed on the global stage combine product innovation and technical excellence with a firm foundation of strategic financial management.

“Ken Taylor’s unparalleled track record as a strategic financial advisor and Ken Beaton’s storied background in scaling premium development solutions strengthens our core capabilities as we continue to grow and expand globally.”

Taylor’s appointment comes shortly after the company hired Ken Beaton as president of product engineering.

Beaton joins from Adobe, where he spent 15 years in a variety of roles. Most recently he served as the company’s director of engineering, leading the product development and cloud operations for Adobe’s Campaign and Experience Manager Mobile solutions.
