MGM’s Epix launches on AT&T streaming service

MGM’s SVOD premium channels offering Epix has extended its domestic US distribution by launching on the AT&T’s streaming service for US$6 per month.

The launch follows Epix and AT&T’s recently announced distribution agreement and the network’s launch on the DirecTV satellite platform on May 19.

AT&T TV Now subscriberes can now sign up for a monthly subscription to Epix across devices including smart TVs, Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, and on Android and iOS mobile devices, among others. Those who subscribe will gain access to the Epix library of original programming, movies and three Epix linear channels.

AT&T TV Now joins an expanding line-up of streaming services where Epix is available and the launch coincides with the recent premiere of original series Pennyworth, the origin story of Batman’s butler Alfred.

Forthcoming series on the service include Godfather of Harlem, starring and executive produced by Forest Whitaker; Belgravia, from Julian Fellowes; docu-series Slow Burn and weekly series NFL: The Grind.

“We’re thrilled to be launching on the AT&T TV app, making our premium programming available to even more AT&T customers across the country. It’s an incredibly exciting moment for the network as we continue to expand our distribution footprint and bring our superior customer experience and quality programming to new audiences,” said Michael Wright, President, Epix.

Daniel York, Chief Content Officer, AT&T, said: “We’re pleased to expand the Epic offering to our AT&T TV Now subscribers, giving our customers even more choice in quality premium programming.”
