Vodafone Deutschland adds eSports1 to offering

Vodafone Deutschland has added eSports service eSports1 to its Vodafone TV offering, replacing Sport1 US HD.

The eSports channel will feature over 1,200 live hours of eSports action along with highlights and magazine content including Wednesday magazine show Inside eSports.

Broadcasting rights this year include live and highlight coverage of four ESL one events as well as the League of Legends European Masters.

Vodafone is already an international eSports partner for Modern Times Group-owned eSports league ESL and the main sponsor of Germany’s leading eSports club Mousesports.

eSports1 is available across German-speaking Europe. Liberty Global’s Swiss unit UPC Switzerland announced that it would carry the channel on its MySports service earlier this week.
