UPC Poland adds download-to-view to Horizon Go

Liberty Global-owned Polish cable operator UPC Polska has introduced download to view on its Horizon Go mobile TV product.

The new feature allows Horizon Go users to download video-on-demand content to their mobile device for offline viewing. The new functionality is available for users of iOS and Android devices.

The download feature can be used on up to five devices that have already been used to view streamed content from Horizon Go. Selected content will be available on the device to which it has been downloaded for 14 days.

Horizon Go in Poland currently offers 131 channels available for in-home viewing and 111 for out-of-home viewing. Since the end of geo-blocking, content can be viewed across the EU on any devices.

Separately, UPC Polska has expanded the line-up of channels it takes from Kino Polska Group – also known as SPI International/Filmbox.

The operator now offers Gametoon HD, FightBox HD and DocuBox HD from the group as part of its Max package. The channels are also available as part of the Horizon Go offering and eSports channel Gametoon HD will additionally be available as part of the lower-tier Select package until March 3.
