BeIN Media ups Yousef Al-Obaidly to CEO

BeIN Media Group chairman Nasser al Khelaïfi has appointed Yousef Al-Obaidly as CEO of the sports and entertainment broadcaster, a role previously held by al Khelaïfi himself.

Al-Obaidly was previously deputy CEO of the group, where played a role in establishing it as the leading pay TV sports provider in the MENA region and led the launch of BeIN Sports France, Americas and Asia-Pacific. In 2013 he worked with al Khelaifi to transition the former Al Jazeera Sport into BeIN Sports.

Al Khelaïfi said: “I am thrilled to announce Yousef’s appointment as CEO of BeIN Media Group. Yousef’s experience and drive are instrumental to our organisation as we continue to make great strides as a leader in sports and entertainment.
