Airbeem hires Neil Berry as chief revenue officer

OTT content distribution platform Airbeem has hired former Comcast technology solutions VP and managing director, international, Neil Berry, as chief revenue officer.

In his new role, Berry will be responsible for leading the global sales, business development and marketing growth of the company.

Berry, who has held executive roles at Ooyala and Piksel as well as Comcast, has been involved in over 75 OTT service provider launches, according to Airbeem.

He played a key role in leading the launch and growth of online video provider Ooyala’s international operations, helping to enable the sale of the business to Telstra.

His appointment follows Airbeem, which provides off-the-shelf solutions to content owners to enable them to create direct-to-consumer OTT video channels, securing Series A funding round led by Edge Investment, enabling it to scale its product R&D sales and marketing and customer success teams worldwide.

Airbeem recently appointed Thorsten Sauer, former president of Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services, as executive chairman of the board of directors.
