Appear TV will use ANGA COM to highlight its adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR) linear packager, OTT transcoding software and X-Series video processing units.
Appear’s ABR linear packager consists of a video segmentation engine, storage with internal and external options, just-in-time packager/DRM engine, origin server and optional offline encoding/transcoding.
The Live OTT Transcoder software enables broadcasters and operators to provide multiscreen services by use of COTS hardware. Encoders make up the core of the solution; transcoding media streams into a range of profiles. Encoding quality levels can be individually defined to achieve different quality vs. speed tradeoffs.
The X-Series is described by the company as a high-capacity, low latency platform designed to address the distribution and contribution market. The complete spectrum of encoding codecs is now available within its X10/20 platform, the company says.
Appear TV will be exhibiting at ANGA COM on stand 7.E11
