Telecom Italia (TIM) has named Pietro Scott Jovane as chief commercial officer.
Jovane, who holds US, UK and Italian citizenship, will join TIM in mid-April, and will report to CEO Amos Genish. He previously worked as group controller for Seat Pagine Gialle, CEO of Microsoft Italia, CEO of publishing outfit RCS Mediagroup and, more recently, CEO for Italian e-commerce outfit ePrice, formerly known as Banzai.
At TIM, he will be charged with developing the company’s commercial strategy focusing in particular on the consumer and small enterprise business, top clients – and the multimedia entertainment business.
He has been tasked with speeding up TIM’s convergence of content and distribution platforms, and will also be responsible for activities relating to brand development and positioning.
