Latvian cable operator Baltcom has expanded the range of HD channels it offers as part of its TV line-up.
The operator is now carrying Sony Channel HD, Sony Turbo HD, MCM Top HD, Nastoyashcheye Vremya HD (Present HD), E! HD, Eurosport 1 HD, Eurosport 2 HD, History HD, Animal Planet HD, Euronews English HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery Science HD, all of which it previously carried in standard definition.
In addition, the operator has added classical and jazz music channel Mezzo Live HD to its line-up. Baltcom previously carried standard-definition service Mezzo, which has a different programming offering.
The HD launches add significantly to Baltcom’s existing HD line-up, which includes K1 HD, Home Cinema Premium HD, RFM TV HD, Fashion Television HD and Arte HD, and takes the total number of high-definition services available to Baltcom subscribers to 19.
Baltcom last year launched its new advanced TV service, incorporating multiscreen TV and OTT services, based on technology from Smartlabs.
