Denmark-based middleware provider, Nordija, has launched an operator-focused, customisable platform for Android TV boxes.
Nordija said that by integrating with Android TV, its fokusOn software will allow operators have a branded interface and also give access to third party apps, games and services – like Netflix, HBO and YouTube – via the Google Play Store.
“We are happy to announce that we are developing a launcher for Android TV. This gives us the freedom to build a customised interface, while keeping the Android TV ecosystem, granting the operators more efficient access to third- party services,” said Nordija CEO, Thomas Christensen.
“By integrating with the Android TV framework, we can provide TV operators with the tools to deliver a solution that aim at the needs and requirements of younger generations without compromising the experience on the primary TV set in the home as we know it.”
