Vodafone Studo app forces kids to do maths before watching TV

VodafoneVodafone Portugal has launched a new TV app aimed at enabling children to study at home.

The Studo app will be available for all Net TV Voz customers and is designed to enable kids to study and compete exercises at home as the Portuguese school year gets under way. Access to TV content is blocked until a study plan set by parents is completed.

Content in the launch phase is initially focused on maths, and is aligned with the Portuguese primary education curriculum.

The app allows children to win points for completing exercises correctly, with students entering details including the year they are attending to be set appropriate exercises.

Studo was the creation of teacher João Tiago Martins. After winning the Vodafone Power Lab competition, Martins was able to develop the app in partnership with Bold International-owned Carbon.
