Altice-owned French service provider SFR’s SFR Sport 1 channel has teamed up with free-to-air digital-terrestrial service Numéro 23 to air a key English Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool on free-to-air TV.
The match will air on Numéro 23 at 21:00 on September 16 exclusively on the digital-terrestrial platform, with commentary from Eric de Medo and Jérôme Sillon.
Altice’s media arm holds a 39% stake in the free-to-air channel. The airing of the match will serve as a marketing opportunity for SFR, which recently launched a bouquet of sports channels centred on its acquisition of English Premier League rights for France.
